Cleveland leaders have a new name for a small piece of Lake Erie, and they are hoping people get the joke. Cleveland City Council approved a resolution this week declaring a two-mile stretch of water along the city’s shoreline the “Gulf of Cleveland.” The measure was introduced as a satirical response to recent efforts around the country to rename geographic landmarks.
