The first week of September was a busy time at Zone Institute in Phoenix, Arizona for DGE Michelle Corradetti, DGN Bruce (Coach) Reece, and ERLs (Emerging Rotary Leaders), Tonya Bernardy and Shelly Culbertson!

That week wrapped up 3 years of District Governor training for DGE Michelle and ended in a Gala celebration on Saturday evening with many Rotary International dignitaries in attendance including RIPE Larry Lunsford, PRIP “Ravi” Ravindran, RI Foundation Vice Chair Vicki Puliz, Trustee Ijeoma “Pearl” Okoro, Foundation Past Vice Chair Greg Podd, RI President Representative Johrita Solari, RI Zone 27 Director Wyn Spiller, and RI Director Elect John Chase, PDG Sylvia Whitlock (first woman Club President), Big West Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator LeAnn Mobley, and PDG Tim Mobley among others. District Governor Bruce Allen and iPDG Chris Waugh were there to celebrate as well!

Our District received 3rd place in Highest Number of New Clubs with 1 New Club and 1 Satellite Club being established last Rotary year. Our District’s “Try Rotary” campaign also received recognition at the Gala!

Incoming District Governors from 29 Districts in the “Big West” (Zones 26 and 27), convened for a week of education, inspiration, and collaboration! It is exciting to see the energy this group of leaders plan to bring to their respective Districts!

Our District 5110 has a lot to look forward to!
