Hit & Run suspect arrested in Oakridge   
  
On June 23rd at about 5:30 p.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded with EMS to a report of a hit & run involving a pedestrian at a campsite near Blue River Dam. Deputies contacted the injured victim and witnesses, who were known to the suspect. The suspect, Travis Lynn Nyman, 32, of Eugene, fled the area and was aware deputies were looking for him.    
  
On August 7th, at about 11:30 p.m., Oakridge Police officers contacted Nyman in Oakridge. A deputy responded as well. After additional investigation, Nyman was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail for Assault in the 2nd Degree and Menacing.
